  The setting is actually very nice and cosy. The add-on heater is a bit out of place next to the nice big chimenea (is is fake?)

  Food wise: we ordered a cheese fondue to share and a 500g entrecôte. I have eaten fondue a lot for 40 years, in the French Alps, in Vevey and this one was actually worse than the one you can get in supermarkets. A huge disappointment for a place calling itself a Fromagerie. It was basically a bowl of hot cheese, no smothness, just sticky cheese. If the owner reads this I'd strongly recommend investing in much better pots and reviewing the actual receipe and ingredients. On the menu it is listed as a proper Swiss fondue with cheese like Beaufort, Comte and all we got (at least it felt like it) was cheap emmental. We did discuss the matter with the staff, who blaimed the supplier. I am sorry but if your goods are not up to standards, it is best not to serve them. I was hoping for a goodwill gesture but we still got charge the full price for it, not even a drink was taken off the bill. Not to mention the table next to us which experienced a fondue fire due to alcohol overfill of the burner, actually quite scary. The white house wine was actually ok.

  So, overall a mixed experience when we had high hopes for this dinner. The bill was reasonable (61 euros). I hope the owner accepts this criticism and adjust accordingly. The place really has potential.

  Next we had a massive entrecôte on a hot plate with home made chips and proper salt. This was simply delicious and copious. Keep that supplier and drop the cheese one... The house red was ok but way to cold.
